Brooke Jackson

Brooke Jackson is an Architect and Educator. Her research focus is housing policy and the plan - challenging spatial prescriptions of apartment design under legislative instruments and the function of the contemporary + future home. She was most recently engaged in a Landcom research grant - Creating the City We Want: Tackling Barriers to Housing Diversity in NSW, in conjunction with UTS (lead institution, CI: Gerard Reinmuth), UWS, UNSW and Terroir.

Developing and delivering a Design Studios in the disciplines of Architecture and Interior Architecture (Undergraduate + Masters) Brooke also prompts future Architects and Designers to challenge the governance structures of the home, formal and informal, through spatial resolution.

For over 10 years Brooke has worked on the design and delivery of various housing types in Architectural Practice (both locally and in London) including high density residential, student housing and single lot dwellings.

Brooke currently runs her Architecture Practice, Informal Architects, in Sydney and is appointed as a Scholarly Teaching Fellow in the School of Architecture at the University of Technology Sydney.
